My Oscars 2012 Best Dressed List

Yes... I woke up at 6AM (mnl time) to catch the red carpet event of this most anticipated annual event!
The Academy Awards is not just about the acting honors, before all that, the actors must mesmerize the audience with their fashion by strutting down that red carpet!!

And here are my favorite actresses.. for wearing (what i think is) the most fabulous dresses by the most fabulous designers in the world!! Enjoy!!!

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji

Tina Fey in custom-made Carolina Herrera

Penelope Cruz in Armani Prive
... i just love how she said Pri-veh in that sexy latina accent!!

Meryl Streep in Gold Lanvin...
.... will she match that Oscar trophy if she wins the Best Actress!!?

Gwyneth Paltrow in a caped Tom Ford white ensemble...
.... she is bringing the cape fashion back to life!!!

Angelina Jolie in that black velvet Atelier Versace
...you just cant take the scene away from her.
as i say Angie and Versace is the perfect combination!!!

Jessica Chastain in that Gold studded black Alexander McQueen Gown...
she stole the red carpet scene for me!! love her look so much!!

Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli
they say it's similar to Nicole Kidman's Balenciaga in 2007
... for me Emma's look still rocks!

Cameron Diaz in Gucci

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton.... classic!!
That pink crocodile purse!!

Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
very modern day Greek Goddess!!

Viola Davis in that green Vera Wang....
her skin and that green looked so fabulous!!!
thank God she ditched the wig!

Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab
... she said it's her first time to attend The Academy Awards...
she looked great for a first timer!! lol
...................

I can't really rank them, that's why the pics are in no particular order.
But if I have to choose 3 Top Favorite looks...
hmmmm??
I have to choose...

Meryl Streep in Lanvin...

for me gold means wisdom and she embodied the words
"dress your age" perfectly with that dress... she totally scored back after that nightmare
of a dress in Golden Globes!!

 Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen....

The red hair, that pearl white skin, in that Gold and black gown. is just perfect! It's nice that she didn't overdo her hair.. she totally stole the "scene-stealer" title for me...

Viola Davis in Vera Wang....

green and her perfect skin worked well.... and what made her looked
so good is that she sported her natural hair!! I mean that wig in the Golden Globes is hideous... you could never go wrong with what God has given you...

and if you're wondering why I didn't put Angelina in my Top 3...

that's cause she's already in my Red Carpet legends list... lol

Till the next Academy!!!

XoXo

Pak na Pak na Kermit Tesoro!!!

Who says Pinoys are not Fashion Forward again??!
--------------------------

Congratulations Kermit Tesoro for proving the "fashion forward girl" wrong
and for having one of your creations included in the recent Lady Gaga + Gilt Campaign!!!
That is Kermit's Heel-less Shoes!

and here is the Campaign!

Gilt Groupe is an International Fashion Sale Website that sells designer labels and fashion brands at prices discounted up to 60% off it's retail price. Thierry Mugler (Gilt Groupe's Creative Director) and Nicola Formichetti collaborated (earlier this year) to release a campaign that features the style of Gaga...
and here's the cover.
it opened last May 20 and lasted only for 3 days! In time with Lady Gaga's album release.

Going back....

Kermit Tesoro is one of the country's top young designers! His creations are inspired and often compared to that of Alexander McQueen, Nina Ricci, and Martin Margiela, holds a certain touch of uniqueness and class that's totally Pinoy yet at par with the top caliber fashion designers around the world.

Kermit is known for his fashion forward designs

and infamous shoes!!

Having his creation included in the Lady Gaga + Gilt Campaign is a step forward to stardom for Kermit!

I am definitely looking forward to hearing more about his creations and his success!!

Pak!

Lady Gaga Covers Harper's Bazaar May 2011 Issue

What a great way to open the festive month of May by making Lady Gaga their cover. Harper's Bazaar deserves a clap!

Lady Gaga showed fun, love, and gaga on her pictures with Harper's Bazaar May 2011 Issue!! I can't wait for this to reach Manila by May!!

Oh and that 5-Boob Dress is every man's dream clothing for their girlfriends! :P

About ‘Born This Way’ video:
"It was inspired by] a lot of weed.”

About the real author of ‘Born This Way’ (guess what, it’s Lady GaGa’s friend, late fashion designer Alexander McQueen):
"I think he planned the whole thing: Right after he died, I wrote ‘Born This Way.’ I think he’s up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing. When I heard that [the record label pushed 'Born This Way's release date to the date of the first anniversary of McQueen's death], I knew he planned the whole damn thing. I didn’t even write the f*cking song. He did!”

On her new accessory – face horns and masochism:
"They’re not prosthetics. They’re my bones. They’ve always been inside of me, but I have been waiting for the right time to reveal to the universe who I truly am. They come out when I’m inspired.”
"[Horns are] artistic expression. It’s a performance-art piece. I have never, ever encouraged my fans or anyone to harm themselves, nor do I romanticize masochism. Body modification is part of the overarching analysis of ‘Born This Way.’”

On her new album Born This Way (out May 23)
"‘Born This Way’ is the marijuana to the heroin of the album. The experience gets massively more intense as you explore it. All the different songs are different kinds of highs.”

On tabloids & rumors:
"I’m not engaged, and I’m not a drug addict, but thank you for asking.”

HOTMess News: McQueen for Royal Wedding Dress???

News spread this week that Sarah Burton, the Head Designer, of The Alexander McQueen Fashion House will design Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress...

Everyone seems to be anticipating as to who will design the Wedding gown. But Sarah Burton immediately dismissed the news, "That's not true!", denying everything that came out.

Imagine Kate Middleton wearing one of the 2011 Spring-Summer McQueen Wedding Gowns below! Interesting!
